Jordan Lindsey 
 

Jordan Lindsey (Soka University class of 2017) is a doctoral student in communication and culture at Howard University in Washington, D.C. He dabbles in several creative pursuits—music, photography, and creative writing—with poetry and short fiction being his dominant forms. His art is largely inspired by the small treasures in tragedy, questions of existence and identity, and the challenge of simplicity in representing experience. Artists who have strongly influenced his writing include Charles Baudelaire, Toni Morrison, Charles Simic, and Henry Dumas. His work has been published in The Bookends Review, The Write Launch, and he periodically posts his prose poems on his Instagram account: @jordanprosepoems.
