Quite the year we’ve had so far! I hope that everyone is doing as well as our turbulent moment will allow. My name is Rafael, Class of 2021, Humanities. While I’ve been writing and recording songs in some capacity since high school, I decided to use the quarantine as an opportunity to attempt an understanding of the recording process in as much depth as possible. So, when I heard about NC20 I decided to submit a compilation of a few demos from these past months. Seeing as Instant Radio likely won’t be performing any time soon, I thought it may be interesting to facilitate some sort of online group for musicians attending Soka. Let me know what you think of this idea and please, send me any songs you’ve recorded over the course of the pandemic! While these past few months have surely been difficult for all of us, I do hope that they will prove to be a catalyst for the change that the world so desperately needs.
